Children of Courage Awards

What a privilege it was for our Everybody Sings! Choir to be invited to perform at The Children of Courage Awards 2026 at the National Exhibition Centre on Friday 19th June.

It was a fabulous event designed for the community to come together to honour the extraordinary courage, determination and kindness of children who make a real difference in their communities and beyond with an aim to inspire young people who prove that age is no barrier to making a positive impact on the world.

This year’s theme for the Awards was superheroes and the event was all about celebrating children in our community so we chose the song Touch the Sky from the Disney film Brave and it was just a perfect choice for the evening.

Our Solihull choir (with a few additions from our Sutton Coldfield choir!) was thrilled to play its part at such a special event and it was certainly a highlight from a fabulous year of singing together.

The joy of having four Everybody Sings! choirs is the ability of mix and match between them all and, as we sat together in the Green Room waiting to go on stage, there was a wonderful sense of warmth and friendship between the groups.

It reinforced for me how singing brings everyone together and it's such a truly magical thing!
